Behind every truck that rolls out of the JB Fleet Solutions shop is a story that started more than 30 years ago, with a father, his son, and a simple idea about how to treat people.

In 1993, Jim Bartlebaugh and his father, Jim Sr., opened the doors of JB Fleet Solutions together. They did not start with much, but they started with a standard. Do honest work. Stand behind it. Treat every customer the way you would want to be treated. Jim Sr. believed a man's word and his workmanship were the same thing, and that if you got either one wrong, you did not have much at all.

Jim learned the business the hard way, as a technician with his hands in the grease, working side by side with his father. And there was one thing Jim Sr. said so often that it became the rule the whole shop still runs on: “We do it the right way, and we're always honest, because I like to be able to sleep at night.” That was the entire philosophy. No fine print, no exceptions.

For three decades, the two of them built the shop the only way they knew how: one repair, one handshake, and one earned customer at a time.

In 2020, Jim took over running the company day to day. His father passed away in 2022. The loss was heavy, but the standard Jim Sr. set never left the building. Every job that goes out the door is still measured against it. That is not marketing language. It is simply how Jim runs the place. The company remains family owned and operated, the same as it was on day one.

For years, customers knew them as JB Trailer Services. It is still the same company. On paper, it is still J.B. Trailer Services, Inc. It just outgrew its old name. The shop was never only about trailers, and over the years customers kept asking Jim and his crew to take care of their trucks too, not just the trailers behind them. So they said yes, and they went all in.

JB Fleet Solutions is the name that finally matches the work: full Class 8 truck repair alongside the trailer and liftgate service the company has always been known for.

Same family. Same crew. Same shop on Valley Boulevard. A whole lot more under one roof.

What has not changed is how the work gets done. The job gets done right, and the company puts its name on it. Customers hear the truth, even when it costs a sale. And the shop is being built to last, not flipped to the highest bidder. Jim is in it for the long haul, and so is his crew.

The team at JB Fleet Solutions includes shop and mobile technicians with decades of combined experience and very little turnover, because good people tend to stay where they are treated right. The company is an authorized dealer for Maxon, Waltco, and Palfinger liftgates, and a warranty service center for Vanguard and Stoughton trailers.
